About Us

Bob Wubbenhorst, MA, NCC, ACS, LCMHC

Welcome to my site!

I earned a Master of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Counselor Education and Supervision from Union Institute & University. I received my training in Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy from the Wellness-Institute. I am a National Certified Counselor (NCC), Approved Clinical Supervisor (ACS), and a Vermont Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC).

I have been a provider of mental health services for 16 years. In that time I have provided individual and group counseling in both private practice and community mental health. My career has included work with veterans, American Indians, law enforcement, criminal offenders, severely mentally ill adults in a day treatment setting, and school-based clinical work in secondary education. I have extensive experience in counselor education and supervision (including both graduate interns and post-masters licensure candidates) crisis intervention, suicide prevention, psychological first-aid, co-ocurring disorders and trauma informed counseling. Additionally, I have given professional presentations on working with veterans, American Indians, criminal psychology, crisis counseling and therapeutic methodologies and am a contributor to a book for counselors.

In my spare time I enjoy motorcycling, camping, hiking, American Indian powwows and anything outdoors.
